Pushkin and Trotsky help veterans
Minneapolis VA Medical Center Volunteering
Each month, Pushkin (left) and Trotsky(right) take turns visiting Veteran patients in three different units, all dealing with a variety of health issues.
The vets love these visits and are so impressed by Pushkin's and Trotsky's appearance and overall structure. Some vets want Karnovand's Siberians to get in bed with them. Not allowed.:) Others want to keep them in their room. Also not allowed.:)
However, the vets can pet and hug Karnavanda's Siberians as long as they want. We often hear the vets say:
"This made my day."
"What a beautiful dog."
"These dogs make me happy."
It's an honor to play a small part in serving our Veterans with the joy of a therapy dog visit.
